Description
A cuvée of Grüner Veltliner and Sauvignon Blanc - like all of Christian Tschida's grapes - from the Leithaberg, matured for 10 months in large wooden barrels. Naturally cloudy, with a nose of crunchy apple skin, green currants and an intense blend of herbs: lemon balm, maggi herb and a hint of thyme. On the palate, a ‘heavenly’ texture with a perfect yeasty touch, matching acidity, delicate minerality, fine phenolics, with air it picks up further, some apricot tart comes through, remains very harmonious, draws well to the back and then lingers for a long time. Brilliantly drinkable - even for natural wine beginners - you won't want to put the glass down! [GB 08/2024]
Peter Moser wrote in Falstaff about the 2022: ‘Delicately cloudy, medium green-yellow colour with silver reflections. Fine yellow tropical fruit, a hint of herbal spice, delicately nutty underlaid candied orange zest. Juicy, medium body, white peach fruit, mineral and lemony on the finish, kumquat residue in the aftertaste, salty, a lively, light-footed food companion. And awards the natural wine 95 points!
