The Lykan Balaclava represents a breakthrough in technical knitted insulation, redefining comfort and performance through advanced seamless construction. Crafted from soft, textured recycled polyester yarn, this ultralight balaclava features three distinct knit zones—an open mesh over the face to prevent condensation, a ribbed neck for added warmth, and a medium-density fabric for balanced insulation. Main Fabric: Airweb Knit™

Seamless 3D knitting concept using a unique, textured yarn achieving an extremely soft, light and stretchy fabric with a fuzzy texture, ideal for high intensity activities. It has a level of breathability, warmth-to-weight ratio and comfort that traditional insulation garments simply cannot compete with. It is highly moisture wicking and can be worn both as a first layer next to skin or as a second, thermal layer. The open, lofty and airy structure provides great insulation when you wear a protective layer over it, and instantly allows excess heat and moisture out when you open up to ventilate.

Care Instructions

Synthetic materials

When washing clothes made of synthetic fabrics, the use of a washing bag becomes even more important: It prevents microplastics from entering into rivers and oceans.

• Air clothes instead of washing to save water, energy and to make the garments last longer.
• Use a washing bag to protect your garments and to prevent fibers from leaking. When cleaning the bag and filter in the machine, make sure to wipe it clean and throw the lint in your trash can. Never rinse it in water since we don’t want the fibers to end up in lakes or oceans.
• Machine wash, max 40 °C/104 °F.
• Use mild environmentally certified detergents and make sure to use the right dose.
• Avoid fabric softener. Besides being harmful for our environment, they have a negative impact on the garment performance, mainly moisture transportation and breathability.
• Tumble dry on low heat.
• Iron on low heat.
