Channel Islands Surfboards has been dedicated to making surfboards since 1969. Their focus has always been on performance, quality, innovation and originality. Channel Islands designs always start from the demands of the world’s greatest surfers. That’s why performance has always been the core of Channel Islands Surfboards. Channel Islands Surfboards was founded by Al and Terry Merrick. Their son, Britt Merrick, has been spending his days in the Santa Barbara factory since being a toddler. Britt Merrick started shaping with his father in 1990 and is now the lead shaper and designer for Channel Islands Surfboards.
