The new IDEA book is a photobookzine by Winter Vandenbrink. Following fast on the
back of VANDALS, the sold out 400 page book of European youth, Toby is a highly-focussed study of one young man. Toby is the standout subject of Winter's recent work.
A boy and a man whose sense of style is as unrestrained as his behaviour. He is a true
one-off. Winter, having built a relationship and trust with him, has photographed him overa few years and created a complex portrait of a difficult personality. Toby is like Mads Mikkelsen's character Tonny in Pusher, live-wired and volatile, only Toby is real. And this book is not fiction. There are 70 photographs in the photozine.
