Overview
Quil Lemons - Quiladelphia
Quiladelphia is the first book by photographer Quil Lemons, published by IDEA. Bringing together a decade of work in colour and black and white, it explores Black masculinity through vulnerability, intimacy and self-expression.
Named in tribute to Lemons and his hometown of Philadelphia, the book presents masculinity as a fluid, individual experience. The photographs are accompanied by a foreword by Brontez Purnell, an essay by Lemons and conversations with Santigold and Lyle Ashton Harris, reflecting on identity, gender, love, art and society.
