JADE MADOE

Growing up close to the Northsea in Belgium, the sea has always been a source of inspiration for Jade as a filmmaker and photographer. During her 26 years of existence, she always felt a big connection and love for this big blue marvellous world and its creatures, its flora, its stories. After graduating her Master in Cinema in Ghent, she searched to combine her passion for photography with her love for the ocean. Constantly chasing a certain feeling of enchantment. Of being child-likely taken away by some faraway dreamworld or utopia where mermaids, pirates, magical forces and desolated islands could still exist.
While roaming in this world, Jade poses a magnetic look on the movement of (women’s) bodies, nature and the invisible flow of life.

Jade exposed her work at the 2023 Haven Surf Filmfest. For that occasion we teamed up with Vans Surf for this collaboration. Jade's work is sold (framed) at the Antwerp store.
